Foundation Secures Agreement with Amazon Web Services to Modernize Campus Technology Infrastructure

This spring, CollegeBuys was thrilled to secure a strategic partnership agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leading IT infrastructure services provider.  This new partnership will help facilitate campus server and cloud-based storage initiatives by providing access to exclusive pricing on AWS information technology systems. The contract is legally compliant, fosters institutional equity, delivers operational efficiencies, results in cost savings, and empowers the system to work together building communities of practice. With many colleges statewide already using AWS, the contract also promises an easy transition to leverage the newly secured agreement through the Foundation.

The newly signed agreement has configurable services and features to build applications and solutions for individual campus use cases as well as full ownership and management of stored content, with the availability to encrypt data at rest and in transit. The agreement also establishes that there are no upfront financial commitments and that services are available on a monthly “pay-as-you-go” model. This means no locked-in, fixed-term services; campuses have the option to terminate for convenience at any time upon written notice.

The signing of this agreement builds on CollegeBuys commitment to partner with industry leading providers, adding to the longstanding list of technology partners like Microsoft, Adobe, CDW, Konica Minolta, Cisco, and many more. We are excited to start this partnership and look forward to continuing to secure more beneficial contracts for our California Community Colleges.
