ScreenPal Webinar: Meet the New ScreenPal – Smarter Video Creation for the Community College Ecosystem

Date: November 17, 2026
Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Virtual

ScreenPal has evolved far beyond the free screen recording tools you may be used to. Formerly Screencast-O-Matic, today’s ScreenPal brings together a broader set of AI-powered creation, editing, hosting, sharing, and assessment capabilities designed to support the complete video workflow in higher education.

In this practical session, we’ll follow a slides-to-polished-video use case to show how instructional designers, faculty, and technology leaders can move from existing course materials to engaging, professional video, and then seamlessly share, manage, and assess that content within the tools they already use.

We’ll introduce the expanded ScreenPal product set side-by-side, highlight new AI-assisted features, and demonstrate how ScreenPal fits into an institution’s existing technology ecosystem, including Canvas. Attendees will see workflows for video creation and sharing, Canvas integration, and grading, while exploring capabilities that extend beyond the basic recording and video tools many educators already know.

We’ll also share examples of how California Community Colleges are successfully using ScreenPal to support scalable video creation and teaching and learning workflows.

By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Identify the expanded ScreenPal product set and key capabilities introduced since the Screencast-O-Matic rebrand.
  • Describe how AI-powered features can streamline the journey from existing slides and ideas to polished instructional video.
  • Understand how ScreenPal integrates with Canvas and other applications already in an institution’s technology ecosystem.
  • Explore an end-to-end workflow for creating, editing, managing, sharing, and grading video content.
  • Apply lessons from California Community College use cases to evaluate opportunities for video across their own institution.
